‘An Elegant Entertainment- 1831’ – a Regency dance workshop.
Regrettably postponed until further notice.
Sunday 28th June 2020 2pm-3pm - Regency Town House, Brighton
Join Regency Delights, in full Regency costume, as they welcome, entertain and engage you for an hour in the local goings-on and gossip of Regency life in Brighton in 1831. Four Regency dances will be taught to you (fear not, for they are easy to learn) and then performed with the exquisite talents of Miss Heyrick on the recorder. They will also teach you everything you need to know to attend a ball - from proper etiquette in the King’s presence to understanding the language of the fans. You do not need to bring a partner or to have had any previous dance experience to attend. Period costume is welcome but not essential!
Don't take our word for it. Here are the favourable opinions of our esteemed guests:
'Fun and informative about this interesting period. Felt very welcome.'
'A really great and fun event. Looking forward to the next one!'
'Fabulous fun! Great performers.'
Tickets cost £10 (plus small booking fee) and are available now from:
